The Shaolai Trail is located in the Guanguan Scenic Area.  Its name is reportedly derived from the name of a local tribal chief (phonetically similar to "Shaolai").  The trail has two entrances, one leading to the Guanguan Suspension Bridge and the other to the Shaolai Suspension Bridge.  From the bridges, overlooking the valley, one can appreciate the magnificent Dajia River flowing through the mountains.  The trail itself offers lush greenery, high-altitude forest ecosystems, and panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.  The cherry blossoms in early spring are a particular highlight.  It's a highly suitable trail for leisurely hikes and family outings, offering a valuable nature education experience for children.
