Wuwowei Mountain is the third highest peak among the "Seven Peaks of Guanguan." The trail from Guanguan to Liyang and then up Wuwowei boasts diverse vegetation, including rhododendron forests, windswept areas, cedar plantations, mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests, and nanmu and oak forests. The damp undergrowth, fallen logs, and leaf litter create technically challenging conditions for short, fast races.

This race also serves as a qualifier for the World Mountain & Trail Running Championships (WMTRC) Chinese Taipei team. With the participation of Taiwan's elite runners, it promises to be a high-stakes competition, testing racers' speed, technique, and strategic prowess. The Wuwowei's rapid ascents and descents do not, however, fully meet the WMTRC technical specifications.
